I didn’t relate to the part in your book about how most women are missing their inner males and could bring them back using the Despacho to Heal the Masculine. Still, I took your suggestion and made it anyway. Well, you were right. He was missing. I now know this because after making the despacho, he is definitely back! He might be best described as a sort of presence and he’s showing me, with flashes of inspiration, how to make my business ventures much more successful in ways I never would have figured out without him. My neighbor and I made a despacho last night. It was a lovely experience to share and to watch it grow before our eyes. I felt a bit silly making this unusual banquet for spirits I can’t see. So I just assumed they were there. When the despacho was complete, it looked like the earth and heavens coming together, with the shell as the earth and for the heavens, the multi-colored yarn as a rainbow with white cotton for clouds. A handful of rice, two incense sticks intersecting, a seashell containing a pair of colorfully crafted miniature dolls, a sprinkling of wine, dried fruits and beans, candies and flowers, a rainbow, etc., etc., wrapped and tied as a gift. I felt like such a kid again experiencing something for the first time — making this thing out of all the different items, even starfish and feathers. When I started putting in the candy, I felt like I was passing out goodies to invisible playmates. It engaged my imagination in lots of new ways. Little did I realize that this “play” was just a prelude to much more. I’ve been trying to use deliberate creation, ideas from “The Secret” to manifest a laundry list of things I want to no avail.
